What’s the goal at Chick Springs?
Last time we reached out, we shared the vision and need for Chick Springs. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, we’ve made progress toward our initial $5,000 goal. I want to thank Katherine White and Russell Wilson for their generous contributions towards preserving our area’s history and heritage.
While we made some progress, we’re not there yet—and we still need your help.
I also know that giving is often tied to understanding. You might be asking, “What exactly are we doing at Chick Springs?” Let me give you a snapshot:
Preserving history: Chick Springs has been a beloved part of Taylors for generations, and we’re working to ensure its story continues to be told.
Creating connection: Our vision is to turn this historic site into a vibrant gathering place for our community—where families, friends, and neighbors come together.
Building momentum: The $5,000 will fund a critical first step… documenting the key historic elements of the Chick Springs site. This foundational work is required by Greenville County and is the first of several planning documents we need before we can begin any physical transformation. By completing this step, we ensure the rich history of Chick Springs is preserved while paving the way for future progress.
